Oxycodone Drug Test
Drug testing strips like the Oxycodone drug test have for some time now been widely used as the primary drug screening tool. Their simple and readable design gives users a comfortable drug testing experience. The Oxycodone urine test is no different, its’ design makes it an exceptional drug screen tool.
Key futures of OXY Test Strips are:
- They are low cost
- 99% accurate
- results are shown after 5 min
- easy to use
- Forensic use only
Testing strips can also be used in other testing devices such as dip cards and test cups. This makes them highly adaptable as well as accurate. They boast an impressive 99% accuracy rating, their sensitive membrane is able to detect any and all traces of drugs in the administered urine.
OXY Drug Test
This OXY drug test kit is created using the urine testing method, this method is the most used drug testing method today. This is due to the fact that urine is highly adept at storing traces of drugs within it. Because of this the Oxycodone drug test is based on this method of drug screening.
Aside from its adeptness to store traces of drugs, urine is also a cost-effective way to screen for drugs. The timeframe in which urine will store the drugs you have taken will depend on several factors, however the most important is the amount of drug you take. The more you take the more likely it is to stay in your system.
Drug metabolization will also play a part, however, your intake will influence this factor as well. The more you take the longer it will take to metabolize out of your system.
For what is Oxycodone Drug Test used
Rapid Oxycodone (OXY) Drug Test Strip is an immune-chromatographic assay for the qualitative determination of the presence of Oxycodone (OXY) at the cut off of 100 ng/ml. This assay provides only a preliminary analytical test result.
Gas Chromatography/Mass spectrometry (GC/MS) is the preferred confirmatory method. Clinical consideration and professional judgment should be applied to any drug of the abuse test result, particularly when preliminary positive results are indicated.
What is Oxycodone
Oxycodone is an analgesic, which works by depressing the central nervous system. Oxycodone is abused for its opiate-like effects. In addition to its equal potency to morphine in analgesic effects, it is also equipotent to morphine in relieving abstinence symptoms from chronic opiate (heroin, morphine) use. For this reason, it is often used to alleviate or prevent the onset of opiate withdrawal by street users of heroin and methadone.
The drug is most often administered orally. Like other opiates, Oxycodone can also depress the respiratory system resulting in suffocation and death when overdosed. Oxycodone is very addictive, both physically and psychologically.
Some physical indications of Oxycodone abuse include extreme loss of appetite and weight, cramps, nausea, vomiting, excessive scratching and complaint of itching, excessive sweating, constipation, pin-point pupils and watery eyes, reduced vision, drowsiness, euphoria, trance-like states, excessive thirst, tremors, twitching, irritability, hallucinations, and lethargy.
