EtG urine screening

EtG is a metabolite produced after the body processes alcohol. The ETG/300 panel is intended to provide a preliminary indication of EtG in urine at or above the specified cutoff. It does not measure current impairment or determine the quantity of alcohol consumed.

EtG detection can be affected by the amount consumed, time since exposure, metabolism, hydration and other individual factors. Testing should follow the manufacturer’s instructions and the organization’s established policy.

Fentanyl urine screening

The FEN/20 panel provides preliminary screening for fentanyl-related analytes at the stated cutoff. Fentanyl assays may not respond equally to every fentanyl analog or metabolite. Refer to the product insert for cross-reactivity information and assay limitations.

This ETG urine test cup includes three specimen-validity indicators that help identify characteristics potentially associated with dilution, substitution or specimen manipulation:

• pH: evaluates whether the specimen’s acidity or alkalinity falls within the expected range.
• Specific gravity: helps assess specimen concentration or dilution.
• Creatinine: helps identify unusually dilute urine specimens.

These indicators provide supporting specimen-validity information. They do not identify every possible adulterant and do not replace an established collection or chain-of-custody procedure.

How to Use the 12 Panel ETG Urine Test Cup

1. Prepare the test: Confirm the expiration date and allow the sealed cup to reach the temperature specified in the product instructions.
2. Collect the specimen: The donor provides urine directly into the 120ml cup according to the collection procedure.
3. Secure the lid: Close the click-top lid completely before handling or reading the test.
4. Check the temperature: Read the built-in temperature strip within the time specified by the collection protocol.
5. Allow the test to develop: Keep the cup on a level surface and follow the manufacturer’s stated reading time, typically approximately five minutes.
6. Read the drug panels: Two lines, including a control line, indicate a negative result. A control line without a corresponding test line indicates a preliminary non-negative result.
7. Review the validity indicators: Compare the pH, specific gravity and creatinine pads with the reference chart supplied with the test.

Understanding the Results

• Negative: A control line and a test line appear for the panel. A faint test line should be interpreted according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Preliminary non-negative: The control line appears, but no test line appears for that panel.
• Invalid: The control line does not appear. Repeat the test with a new device.

Rapid cup results are preliminary. Appropriate confirmatory laboratory testing should be used for non-negative results when required by policy, legal procedure or the testing program.
