What Does a 13 Panel Saliva Drug Test Screen For?

Each 13 panel saliva drug test sold here shares 11 targets: fentanyl, alcohol, amphetamine, methamphetamine, cocaine, opiates, oxycodone, methadone, buprenorphine, benzodiazepines and PCP. The other two targets depend on the pen:

  • THC and K2
  • THC and barbiturates
  • MDMA and barbiturates, with no THC
  • K2 and barbiturates, with no THC

How a 13 Panel Mouth Swab Drug Test Works

Collection for a 13 panel mouth swab drug test happens while the collector watches, with no restroom visit and no urine. One pen holds the swab and all 13 assays, so a single 13 panel mouth swab covers the full screen.

  • Alcohol has its own indicator on each pen
  • Each pen is used once and then discarded

Reading a 13 Panel Saliva Test

Each drug panel on a 13 panel saliva test reads through two marks: a C mark that confirms the pen worked and a T mark for the drug.

  • C and T present: negative for that panel
  • C present, T absent: non-negative, a preliminary result
  • No C mark: invalid, so use a new pen

The screen is qualitative and gives no concentration. A laboratory should confirm any panel that reads non-negative.

Cutoff Levels by Panel

A 13 panel oral fluid drug test uses saliva cutoffs, and these differ from the cutoffs on urine cups. The four pens list the same value for each shared panel:
