Fentanyl Test Strip 10 ng/mL – Individual Pouch

The 10 ng fentanyl test strip is a single-panel urine dip strip that screens a urine specimen for fentanyl at a 10 ng/mL cutoff. Each test gives a preliminary result in minutes and is sold individually, so you can order exactly the quantity your program needs.

The 10 ng/mL cutoff is lower than the 20 ng/mL cutoff used on many fentanyl strips, so the strip reacts to lower fentanyl concentrations in the specimen.

Related options are listed in our single-panel drug test strips category, including the FEN/10 fentanyl dip card.

FEN Dip Strip Cutoff Level

This dip strip screens for one target. Programs that need several drugs at once should compare our multi-panel cups and dip cards.

10 Ng Fentanyl Test Strip Features

Each dip strip is individually sealed and includes an internal control line, so every test shows whether it was run correctly.

The dip strip is used with urine collected in a separate cup. That keeps the cost per test low and lets you add a fentanyl screen to an existing collection process.

Because it screens only one target, the dip strip can be paired with a multi-panel cup or dip card when fentanyl needs to be added to a broader drug screen.

Why Screen for Fentanyl?

A lower cutoff means the strip can flag lower fentanyl concentrations. Choose the cutoff that matches your program’s procedures.

Learn more about fentanyl detection in urine tests.

FEN/10 is a dedicated fentanyl assay. Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that a standard OPI (morphine) panel is not designed to detect, so a separate fentanyl panel is needed when fentanyl screening is required.

How to Use and Read Results

Always follow the package insert supplied with the exact lot, because collection steps and reading times can differ between devices.

  1. Collect the urine specimen in a clean, separate collection cup.
  2. Remove the strip from the sealed pouch and hold it by the top end.
  3. Dip the arrow end into the urine without passing the MAX line, for the time stated in the insert.
  4. Lay the strip flat on a clean, non-absorbent surface and read the result within the stated window.
  • Negative: both the control line (C) and the test line (T) appear for the test. A faint test line is interpreted according to the insert.
  • Non-negative (preliminary positive): the control line appears but the test line does not. This is a preliminary screening result, not a confirmed result.
  • Invalid: no control line appears. Do not interpret the result; repeat the test with a new device.

A non-negative screen should be followed by laboratory confirmation according to your program’s procedure before any final decision is made. A screening result does not show impairment, dose or the time of use.

How to use single panel drug test strip

Who Uses This Dip Strip?

Single-panel dip strips are used when one specific substance needs to be screened, or when a target must be added to an existing multi-panel program. Typical buyers include:

  • Treatment, recovery and medication-assisted treatment programs
  • Courts, probation and correctional facilities
  • Clinics and occupational health providers
  • Harm-reduction and public-health programs

Choose the product according to its labeling and your program’s requirements.

Intended Use, Storage & Limitations

Review the intended-use statement on the package insert supplied with this dip strip before adding it to a testing program.

Store sealed pouches as directed on the packaging, check the expiration date before use and use each device only once.

This is a preliminary screening test: it detects only the targets listed above at the stated cutoffs. As the FDA guidance on drugs-of-abuse screening tests explains, preliminary positive results should be confirmed by a laboratory. Instant tests are not an authorized method for DOT-regulated drug testing under 49 CFR §40.210.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does this 10 ng fentanyl test strip detect?

It screens urine for fentanyl (FEN) at a 10 ng/mL cutoff.

What is the cutoff level of this dip strip?

The cutoff is 10 ng/mL. Concentrations below the cutoff produce a negative screening result.

Is this dip strip CLIA waived?

Check the intended-use statement on the package insert supplied with the product before adding it to your program.

Is a positive result on the dip strip final?

No. A non-negative result is preliminary and should be confirmed by a laboratory according to your program’s procedure.

What is the difference between 10 ng and 20 ng fentanyl strips?

The number is the cutoff. A 10 ng/mL strip returns a non-negative screen at a lower fentanyl concentration than a 20 ng/mL strip.

Can I buy these in bulk?

Yes. The price per strip drops with quantity, and orders of 100 strips or more ship free.
