How to use CLIA clia waived 10 panel drug test?
The 10 panel drug test along with the administered urine needs to be brought to room temperature or 36 to 76 degrees Fahrenheit.
In order to do the test, refrain from opening the packaged test until you are ready to use it and then:
- Open: Remove the test from its packaging when ready and use it as soon as possible
- Dip: Dip the sample pad area of the dipstick card in the urine specimen, submerging only up to the “MAX” mark of the dipstick strip or the edge of the dipstick card. Wait from 10 to 15 sec until you pull out dip card and go to the next step.
- Wait: Place the device on a clean and level surface and wait for 5 minutes
- Read: Following the instructions on how to read the test, take a look at the membranes of the strips, keep a close eye on the C and T markings.
Read the Results of drug test dip cards:
- After 5 minutes, compare the test lines against the control lines for each of the 14 panels.
- Control Line (C): This line should appear at the top of each panel to indicate the test is working correctly.
- Test Line (T): This line appears beneath the control line on each panel and indicates whether the tested substance is present.
Interpreting the Lines:
- Negative Result: If two lines appear (one at the Control (C) position and one at the Test (T) position), the result for that drug is negative. The color intensity of the Test Line can vary, but as long as it’s visible, the result is negative.
- Positive Result: If only one line appears at the Control (C) position and no line appears at the Test (T) position, the result for that drug is positive.
- Invalid Result: If the Control Line (C) does not appear, regardless of whether the Test Line is present or absent, the result is invalid. You’ll need to retest with a new dip card.
